OAHU TRANSIT SERVICE SAYS E KOMO MAI - TO - CHK AMERICA!

SANTA BARBARA, CA (4 July, 2007)

Oahu Transit Service, two-time winner of America’s Best Transit System Award from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), has selected CHK America to redesign the agencies system map and line guides for its service known as TheBus.

TheBus, which services over 70 million passengers annually, is now the 20th most utilized transit system in the country and the 13th most utilized bus fleet.  Currently ranked 6th in the country, The Bus maintains one of the largest fleets of hybrid-buses in the U.S.

TheBus is increasingly important to Hawaii’s substantial visitor industry.  An average of 25,000 visitors use TheBus on a daily basis, and according to the Hawaii Visitor and Convention Bureau, 85% of visitors who take TheBus rate the service as having exceeded expectations.
